Assalam-u-alaikum, everyone!
We are kicking off 2025 by starting a new book: These Impossible Things by Salma El-Wardany. We will be reading the first 17 chapters. As the book switches narrators, you should read through the end of the 9th chapter from Malak's point of view (pg. 177 in the print edition, with the following last sentence: βShe thinks about Nora Hussein as she falls asleep, a soft smile hanging off the edge of her lips.β)
We will be meeting at club favorite Dua DC, located at 923 15th Street NW, Washington, DC, 20005.
